Welcome

Hello. I made this blog so I could share links, videos and articles with my students, and then comment on them.

To start with, my current favourite as to why knowing a bit about science is important. I bring you someone who doesn't understand rainbows and refraction.

  1. Dear: Miss Ware
I write on behalf of 'The Bio Posse' to inform you that it Has recently come to my attention that we have reason to believe that you shall not be carrying forth to teach year thirteen biology next year.
    I must say as the unofficial (and most probably disputed) spokes person of 'The Bio Posse' that this was a moving realisation for all of us;
at first we reacted with nothing but denial,
but then that denial became anger "How dare she abandon us like this?",
Bargaining then followed with self promises such as "I promise i will never book three times as much time nessasary for an exam and harass her the entire time again.",
Then from that bargaining blossomed the forth stage: depression, tears were spilt, no more needs to be said.
But we shall not give in and humor this cruel world with a fifth stage. THERE SHALL BE NO ACCEPTANCE!
For if there were what would that say to all those without hope?
We will rise up and fight, we will not accept
Not until every tear is wiped dry,
Not until every question has been answered,
Not until every single spelling or punctuation error has been corrected.
Not until then can we take this fifth step and surpass our grief!
For what is life without knowledge?
    What is knowledge without science?
    What is science without biology?
What is biology without a bio posse?
And what is a bio posse without Miss Ware?
In the name of science I urge you to reconsider.

    1. Hi Eli,
Not my decision, and anyway, I like where I am with my classes at the mo (I must get it PERFECT), but awwwwwh, shucks. Have a good summer! Let's hope the clouds go away for a bit more than they did last year.
